Misty Mountain
· Tea- First Flush Lavender Lemongrass
· Spirit - Gin
Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 oz (60 ml) Gin
- 1 oz (30 ml) Tea Syrup (recipe below)
- 0.75 oz (22 ml) Fresh lemon juice
- Club soda
- Ice
- Lemon twist or edible flower for garnish
For the Tea Syrup:
- 1 cup water (230 ml)
- 1 cup sugar (200 gms)
- 3 tablespoons (15 gms) First Flush Tea infused with Lavender & Lemongrass
Method:
1. Prepare the tea syrup:
- Bring water to a boil and add sugar, stirring until dissolved
- Remove from heat, add tea and steep for 5 minutes
- Strain and let cool
2. In a shaker, combine gin, tea syrup and lemon juice with ice
3. Shake vigorously for about 10-15 seconds
4. Strain into an ice-filled Collins glass
5. Top with club soda
6. Garnish with a lemon twist or edible flower
This cocktail balances the flavours of Gin and Tea and creates a refreshing drink.
