Black Dragon Tea (Limited Edition)
This rare harvest arrives once a year, that too only in the first week of the first flush season (Early March). The chants of the monks to the songs of the larks create the rhythm for the women to pluck daintily the single leaf and a bud in the early hours of the morning, just as the dawn breaks, as the dew sits tenderly on each bud. Finely plucked, hand rolled and pan-roasted over pinewood, the leaves are then spread evenly in the open. This precious soaks in the warmth of the sun and avoids the machine, thus antioxidants stay close in each sip. This superlative tea is neither black, nor green. It has a hint of smoke with an after taste of sweetness. Rich and smooth on the palate, it reminds one of the legendary tales of the black dragon, which as the villagers once say, made the mountain, his home.
